This tried but true technique is the simplest (and safest) way to achieve decent speed. Lay flat on your back, with your arms crossed over your chest and your palms face down on your shoulders. Cross your ankles and point your toes for faster speeds or flex your toes for a bigger splash!
Gaining height on the turns is easy to do with this technique. Wiggle your hips toward the outside of the turn. It's like pressing the gas while rounding a tight corner. Keep your arms to your sides, flex your wrists and point your fingers outward. Don't forget to cross your ankles for stability.
The name of this technique says it all. Streamline your body by placing your arms at your sides, point your fingers and your toes, cross your ankles for stability, close your mouth and enjoy the ride.
Once you master this technique, your speed times may break the sound barrier. Lie on your back, slightly arched, keeping only your shoulder blades and heels on the slide. The less body parts touching the slide, the more hydroplaning speed you'll gain. Tip: try this technique paired with the Mummy.
